About the role

ac.care is seeking an Executive Assistant & Project Support Officer (EA) provides a broad range of professional executive administrative services to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Executive Leadership Team, Board of Directors and its sub-committees. The EA supports the CEO as Secretary of Anglican Community Care Inc and provides a combination of strategic and operational administrative supports to the Board and Board subcommittees, as directed by the CEO.

The EA is responsible for the effective management, strict confidentiality, and efficient administration of all matters pertaining to the CEO and will exercise significant and independent professional judgement and discretion and the coordination of tasks between the CEO, Executive Managers (EM) and other direct reports to the CEO, by prioritising complex and competing demands and responsibilities. The EA will conduct projects associated with the executive functions of the agency as directed by the CEO from time-to-time.


  • $47.50 per hour

Special Conditions

  • Current SA Driver’s Licence ‘Class C’ or interstate equivalent
  • Current Satisfactory Working With Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain in accordance with ac.care policy.
  • Current National Police Check or willingness to obtain in accordance with ac.care policy.

Qualifications, Experience and Attributes

  • Relevant qualification in Administration and/or Governance, or equivalent experience
  • Significant experience in providing high level confidential executive support services.
  • High level skills in the full MS Office suite
  • Sound knowledge of organisational governance principles, systems, processes, and structures
  • Positive customer service skills with a high level of communication and interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and negotiation.
  • High level organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple competing demands.
  • Proven ability to set up and improve effective administrative systems.
  • Respect, diplomacy, tact and sensitivity with a genuine commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • High degree of credibility and professionalism and the ability to respond to challenging situations in a flexible manner.
  • Demonstrated use of initiative and creativity to solve problems.
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as function as an effective team member to achieve goals.
  • Exceptional ability and experience in taking minutes.
  • Knowledge of project management
  • An Australian citizen or resident with the right to work in Australia.

Highly Regarded

  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, families and communities.
  • Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds.
  • Diploma of Business Administration or higher
  • Experience working in community services/not for profit environment
  • Experience working in organisations across a large geographical area
