Make Thyme for Gardening is a series of workshops to learn about plants that are affordable and suitable for your garden. Everyone is welcome to come along. The workshops are organised by ac.care’s Mount Gambier Community Centre. Each workshop is $10 per participant to cover materials. The gardening workshops will be held every Tuesday, beginning October 24th 2017. You are welcome to enrol in one or all of the workshops.
Workshop 1 at Bunnings Nursery
Liz is passionate about plants and she’ll be teaching you about those plants suitable for areas of your garden. Liz will also show you how to take cuttings to grow more plants and how to grow herbs for cooking.
Workshop 2 Designing your garden
The second workshop will be conducted by a talented and creative gardener who will give you ideas about designing your garden to make it interesting and surprising. ac.care Community Centre, 22 Ferrers Street, Mt Gambier
Workshop 3 Aberfoyle Gardens
We will go on a trip to Aberfoyle Gardens at Kongorong where we can wander, get ideas, and enjoy a catered lunch.
Workshop 4 Creative flower arrangements
A local florist will be supplying us with flowers and ideas to add the creative touch to your floral arrangements. Held at the ac.care Community Centre
Workshop 5 Succulents
Our guest presenter will show you how to use succulents to make a take-home piece to display in your own home or garden. Venue is the ac.care Community Centre
Workshop 6 Christmas decoration using plants
Our sixth and final workshop will be an activity in which you can make a decoration for your Christmas table using plants. Keep for yourself, or use as a Christmas gift. ac.care Community Centre
