AN INNOVATIVE place-based project is transforming the lives of vulnerable youths in Murray Bridge.
A broad community construction project has converted disused duplexes into eight apartments for young people at risk of homelessness.
Tenants in these specially created homes are now supported by ac.care’s intensive services.
This support has led to young people engaging in education, employment and connecting with the community to achieve their aspirations and future independence.
This unique service model, combining community construction with ac.care’s specialised ongoing youth support is moving youth from homelessness to stability.
We have proudly supported tenants in completing their SACE, securing jobs, and progressing to private rentals or reuniting with family.
But this impactful service is not funded and continues thanks to donations and other community support.
