Wishing the Scallywags Social Motorcycle Club and everyone joining the Limestone Coast 2026 Blanket Run a fantastic ride this Saturday ๐๏ธ๐ฃ๏ธ Motorcycles, cars and hot rods are all gearing up to hit the road, collect blankets and winter wear, and raise funds to support people doing it tough across the Limestone Coast. Leaving the Lady Nelson at 10:30am, participants will travel to Kalangadoo, Penola (lunch stop), Tarpeena, finishing at Longriders CMC Clubhouse (Lake Tce East, Mt Gambier). Since August last year, the Reโaโrange Sewing Group at the Millicent Community Centre has been quietly working on something special for Anzac Day ๐งต๐ Led by Mary and Jody, the group created 338 handmade poppies, displayed outside the Millicent Community Centre, along the townโs main street, and woven into a wreath laid at the Millicent Anzac Day service by centre coordinator Evonne. Thank you to everyone involved in this project - including Deb, Liz, Jody and Mary (pictured) - for your creativity, care and dedication. Your work added a meaningful touch to this yearโs community commemorations. Lest we forget. The group hopes to continue making poppies for next yearโs Anzac Day. They meet every Monday from 9:30am-12pm at the Millicent Community Centre, 57-59 George Street.
