One of ac.care’s roles is to help prevent a range of social problems impacting Riverland families before they occur, says he Berri based organisation’s new chief executive. Speaking to the Murray Pioneer this week, new ac.care chief executive officer Shane Maddocks emphasised the importance of supporting Riverland children and families to create a stronger community.
Hundreds of homeless people sought refuge at Berri’s ac.care office over a recent 12-month period, emphasising a lack of affordable housing in the Riverland. From July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017, 420 people received homelessness services from Berri ac.care workers. Click on the image to read the full article from the Murray Pioneer.
