The State Government again activated its Code Blue emergency winter response at the weekend for people sleeping rough in South Australia. Housing SA, together with non-government partners, has made additional accommodation available for extended hours due to very cold temperatures. Mount Gambier’s ac.care will provide outreach emergency accommodation and other support. The Code Blue response ensures shelter is made available for rough sleepers during extreme weather conditions including storms, severe cold and heavy rain.
