FRC – Bringing Up Great Kids

Parenting can be challenging. It is difficult at times to understand and interpret what your child is trying to tell you (i.e. through their behaviour) and at the same time helping them to understand what you’re telling them in order to improve and build positive relationships.

Bringing Up Great Kids is a four-week program that supports parents and carers in building emotional connections with their children through:

• Identifying and sharing the important messages they want to convey to their children.
• Learning more about brain development in children and its influence on their thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
• Understanding the meaning of children’s behaviour.
• Discovering how to overcome some of the obstacles getting in the way of being the kind of parent they would like to be.
• Discovering ways for parents to take care of themselves and find support when they need it.
• Being good enough parents – not perfect parents.
