A SIMPLE bowl of soup can make a big impact.
This August, ac.care is inviting businesses, schools, sporting clubs, community groups and individuals to take part in Simple Soup, Big Impact by hosting a soup lunch, dinner or gathering in support of stronger, more connected communities across country South Australia.
The idea is simple. Choose a date, invite your people and share a meal together while raising funds and awareness for issues affecting people, families and communities across the Limestone Coast, Murraylands and Riverland.
ac.care fundraising manager Cathy Beckman said soup had long been associated with sharing and bringing people together, making it the perfect centrepiece for a simple community fundraiser.
“Simple Soup, Big Impact is built around the idea that bringing people together matters,” Ms Beckman said. “A shared meal creates opportunities for connection, conversation and community spirit,” she said.
“Whether you’re hosting a workplace lunch, gathering with friends or organising a community event, every fundraiser helps strengthen connection, wellbeing and community support across country South Australia.”
Ms Beckman encouraged people from all corners of the community to get involved, saying participants don’t need a big budget or a large event to make an impact.
“The beauty of this campaign is its simplicity. Anyone can host, and every contribution helps create a positive impact close to home.”
Speaking ahead of their own Simple Soup, Big Impact event, Ray White Mount Gambier | Robe | Penola principal Tahlia Gabrielli encouraged community members to gather and support the fundraiser.
“We’re incredibly passionate about giving back to the community that supports us,” Ms Gabrielli said.
“We’re proud to be taking part and to play a small role in making a positive difference and encourage others to get involved and support our local community too.”
